Introduction
When it comes to finding toys for your cat, it’s really hard to find toys that are honestly worth their money. Cats love the simple things! They would most likely be just as happy with boxes.
Buy toys are still important to keep them entertained and help build a good relationship with you and your cat. And even with multiple cats as well!
I want to do a full review of cat toys and I am going to talk about the entertainment value of the toy, how safe it is for your cat, how durable it is, the cost, and then the two most important things…my verdict and the cats verdict!
Because you can have the best cat toy in the world, but if your cats won’t play with it, you don’t have the right cat toy for your cats.
So let’s deep dive into the Cat Dancer!
Entertainment Value:
In terms of entertainment value, the cat dancer pays for itself. This toy has the advance of being interactive toy that cats can still play with on their own.
Our cats will carry this toy around, and play with it on their own until we are free to play with them.
It is so cute to see them run in circles when they play with the toy on its own.
Durability
Durability is one of the downsides of the cat dancer.
Our kittens love to chew on the end of it which causes it to wear faster than their other toys. Once the end of the toys are chewed off, it really is just a piece of wire.
And the cats are definitely less interested in it once it is completely worn.
We probably get a new once three times a year. But with four cats. I actually think there could be worse toys for durability.
But where the durability is somewhat lacking in the cat dancing, it makes up for in terms of the price.
Price
The cat dancer cannot be beat when it comes to the cost. The price per toy is usually between $2-5 but it can go up and down depending on the sales.
You can also buy these in bulk and it is a little bit cheaper.
I like to buy new ones every so often and throw out the ones that are turning green.
Cat’s Verdict
The biggest thing that I personally think sold my cats to this toy was playing with it WITH them when we first got it.
What this did was show them how fun of a toy it really was. And then, when they had it alone and say that they can still make it move (because it’s a wire), it became a toy for whenever!
Out of my four cats, my parent’s cat, and three of my friends cats, all have LOVED the cat dancer. (That is a small sample size though).
My kittens will even reach their head in their toy basket and grab the new ones when I put them away. It’s the simple things in life really!
Final Verdict
I will happily spend around $6-15/year on new cat dancers that entertain my cats for HOURS on end!
The absolute best is when you catch them carry it to different rooms, and one end of the wire is just following behind them.
I really need to get a picture of it in actual, but it is absolutely adorable.
If I have to pick a cat toy to get your new kitten, I actually think the cat dancer is my personal winner! (And I don’t say that lightly).
