My Honest Review Of The Anxious Pet

My Honest Review of The Anxious Pet

I was giving the great opportunity to review The Anxious Pet products this week. As a cat mom to a kitty that has been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder, I was very excited about this opportunity.

I want to go into detail about all of the different aspects of my experience with this company. For anyone who has an anxious pet, hold onto your chairs for this exciting review.

(Actually I will probably be just a normal review, but I am excited about it and hopefully you are too!)

What Came In My Anxious Pet Box

In My Anxious Pet box, I got three supplement bars and a box of Hemp Oil.

Online it states that the supplements bars are specifically for dogs, but I wanted to see if my cats would eat it as well. In smaller portion, of course.

The three supplement bars that I got were part of the Variety Pack option that included the Bright Idea, Hip & Hop, and Relax & Roll bars.

In terms of basic pricing, I think this is an awesome bang for your buck.

The Variety Pack option is only $12 which is really only $4/bar. Heck that’s cheaper than some protein bars for humans that they eat everyday. Within the bar itself are three “servings” which I actually cut into fours to let my kitties try.

My math brain also got very excited when I did the math and realized if I fed it to three of my cats everyday its really only $1/day . I think that’s definitely worth it for when my girls are feeling anxious.

But price isn’t the only factor that matters when it comes to products, they also have to work!

My Thoughts on the Anxious Pet Packaging

Before we go into the reactions of the products, I want to talk about the packaging that these items came in.

Not only did the bars and oils come in a cute and compact box, but the way it was packaged impressed me as well.

Well, let’s be honest, it’s really not hard to impress me with packaging if you do it in the right way. The reason I wanted to call this out specifically was actually because of my cat’s reactions to the packaging.

The absolutely loved it.

In the box, it comes with this brown paper like packaging. It’s really nothing extremely impressive but my cats went WILD over it.

I was having a hard time even doing the initial product review on my Instagram because they were rubbing up against the box and taking the packaging out.

My thought is that not only are the packaging fun for cats to play with, but they have some of the scents of the Hemp Oil and Supplement Bars which was great kept the kitties busy for a solid 30 minutes.

My Cats Reaction To The Products

Let’s get into my cats’ actual reaction to this product.

As I mentioned earlier, my cats absolutely loved the packaging.

In terms of the actual food, I have given my fur-babies the hemp oil and the bright idea supplement bar. For completely transparency, only one of my cats suffers from anxious. And one of the four is the most picky eater in the entire world.

So the picky eater unfortunately did not show any interest in the supplement bar. Now she doesn’t seem to have any anxiety or issues so while I wasn’t surprised she didn’t eat it, it also wasn’t a deal breaker for me.

The real reaction are from the other three cats. They ate it!

One absolutely loved it, and the other two seemed like they would eat it, but weren’t craving it like the other one was.

My Overall Thoughts

It was great to see my cats enjoying treats that were actually good for them.

Again, I was not surprised the Phoebe did not eat it. I can’t even get her to eat wet food, or most treats. I was very happy that Chloe, Zoe and Wobbles ate it because with my cats it’s really hit or miss. So great job The Anxious Pet!

I did try a little bit of hemp oil in Wobbles’ wet food when I felt like she was getting a little anxious.

Personally, I don’t love the hemp oil as an option for anxiety because I think people can overuse it. However, it’s important to keep an open mind and I did want to try it with Wobbles And I think it did help her a little.

I do want to give the warning to anyone that is debating trying hemp oil is to start small and always consult with your vet before using it on your pet.

Would I Get The Anxious Pet Products Again?

In all honesty, this is probably some I will continue to use some of these for the long haul. I will probably not give these to my girls every day but honestly once a week seems to work for us.

I love that my cats will eat the supplements and they really seemed to enjoy them.

Like all supplements, you aren’t going to notice a drastic change in your pet by giving it to them for one day. I know that this will help my young cats and prevent them from potential issues in the future if I continue to give it to them in the future.

I am so happy with the Anxious Pet’s company as a whole and this is definitely a staple in my cat’s routines going forward.

For Wobbles specifically, I want to keep everyone updated on if she has any episodes or if the oil and supplements bars actually help her in the future. So keep an eye out for any updates.

Overall, I really don’t have any negative things to say about this brand!

My one warning sign I will again tell everyone again is that if you are wanting to use hemp oil on your pet, consult with your vet and start with a small dosage. This is a natural supplement but it is a little “trendy” right now.

I am always careful with trends but so far so good with Wobbles!
